What's up, everybody? Welcome back to another episode. I'm your host, Abby Rose, and we have an amazing guest here today who goes by the one and only soaking umbrella. The best name ever. Thanks for having me. Yeah, and I actually really you're welcome. And I actually really want to know how you thought of that name.
SPEAKER_01Um, okay, so I signed up for another website where it's social media. Okay. And they were like, you have to put a name there. And I was like, I don't know. Yeah. And I was walking inside and I saw an umbrella and I was like, oh my gosh, that would be hilarious because it's kind of like an action, you know. Yes. And soaking really, you know, just wraps it all up. It sends a message. It does send a message. I also didn't want to have like such a girly name, but also like a male name. Like I kind of wanted to just be neutral. Yes.
SPEAKER_02I love that. And I feel like that goes with your brand a lot from what you were telling me earlier, which we'll definitely get into. Um, and I just love like learning how people come up with their names. I think it's so interesting. Like, like I literally am so like how we were talking about earlier, like more business, like not creative. I literally searched on the internet what is the sexiest A name. They came up with Abby, and that's what I chose. So it's like so funny. Like I love it. I feel like you're a very creative person, and I love creative people. My mom's an artist, so like I get along really well with creative people. And she was telling me earlier, like, just little creative ideas of what she does for the site that she's on, which I'll let you kind of talk about because we want to learn as much as possible from you on how you got started on what's it called? Fat life.
SPEAKER_01I actually originally did it um because I was in the lifestyle. I'm still in the lifestyle, so I'm in the scene in in Houston. Okay. And so I like needed one to go to these events to like RSVP. And I didn't realize at the time that like your name is gonna be like your name. Okay. So like at the door when you're like checking in to a party, and they're like, what's your fat life name? Really? I used to be soggy umbrella, and I was like, oh. One of those aim names. I thought it was gonna be like one of those, like, you never say it. Like who cares? Like Guitar Gale Zero Eight or something. And I was like, soggy umbrella, like, oh, I need to change this. But soaking seemed more appropriate.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I love that. I can just imagine this, like you walking up into the club, like the swingers club, and they're like, ma'am, what's your name?
SPEAKER_00Like, soggy umbrella. They're like, ew, what?
SPEAKER_02Do you need a towel? That would honestly that will turn some guys on, you know? Like there's something out there for everybody. Sure, for sure. But okay, so you upgraded the name, you got on Fet Life so that you can kind of get you get into the scene, or you're already in the scene.
SPEAKER_01I was already kind of in the scene, but I needed that to like officially RSVP to like certain uh parties. Parties.
SPEAKER_02Okay, and that's good for me to know because me and um Jose are kind of like we teeter on getting into the scene sometimes, and like, but the only way we know about it is through going through the thing called Pendulum Club. Oh, the Pendulum Club, yes P PCs, yes, and as far as we know for that, we just sign up directly on their website. It's a little different. So these are like this is parties.
SPEAKER_01And yeah, this is like I go to a lot of femdom parties. Yes. So I can you explain this? Yeah, I do like to do female dominatrix. Okay. So I like to yell at men. Oh, okay. And hurt men. And there's parties for this. Am I about to say that? In what? Hurt men. Oh, yeah. Men that have been through some things, yeah. They want to be. Yeah. Okay. So it's all applying. Yeah, of course. Of course. Consent is number one. Now, number one.
SPEAKER_02And so, like, how does this party like there's a lot of guys that go to these parties and you show up?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or is it like one-on-one or a mix of?
SPEAKER_01It's a mix of of women and men, and everyone kind of knows what they're there for. There's like high protocol parties where the men have to be in a thong. Okay. Or some like panties. Okay. And the women are allowed to dress however they want to dress. And the women are in charge. So if like the guys are not allowed to sit on the furniture of these high protocol parties. So they have to sit on the floor on the stand. Okay. Because they're sure I would love this. The submissive ones. And they're at our beck and call. And that's what they do. And that's all they do.
SPEAKER_02And so, like, will they cook for you and like bring you drinks and stuff like that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, of course, this is consensual, so but I've never been told no at the parties. For if I'm like, hey, do you want to rub my feet? And the guy's like, Yes! Yes, mistress. And I'm like, don't call me mistress. I don't like that. Call me sir. And they'll rub my feet. I'm like, can you go get me a drink? Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_02I am obsessed with this. I'm like, I've been with me. This is the thing about being in our industry, is like, you can be in it for I mean, I've been in for five years now, and I literally have no idea about this whole world. Like, this is like putting on glasses for me. I'm like, what the heck? Like, I need to learn more.
SPEAKER_01This is so exciting. They have female submissive parties too. I'm not into that, so I've never been, but actually, the organizer of one invited me to it. He was like, I know you're not submissive, but you would come as like, and they do it like a medieval time situation. Okay. Which I'm not also like kind of like Renaissance bear vibes. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And so I would come in as a like like a hierarchy, uh, or like a woman from another place that's not submissive. I don't know. Okay. Just to look at it, but I don't even just too much for you. It's like, yeah. Yeah, not your cup of tea. I don't love that. Yeah. Yeah. And they won't be submissive to me. They'll only be submissive to the men, and then none of the men will be submissive to me. Like, I will be so out of place. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I feel like it would be cool like to experience both sides of the token. But like, I'm I'm a switch. Oh, so like this would be cool for me to go be dominant on some guys when I'm in a bad mood or something, and just like take it out on them. And then like when I'm like in my what's it called, luteral phase. Oh yeah. That's that part of your period. Yeah. I'll go and be a good little submissive girl. So this is awesome. This is all here in Texas. Yeah, yeah. What the heck? Texas has some freaks that I didn't even know about. I thought everybody was super conservative and like just staying at home, going to church and stuff. Yeah, that's what I'm considering. This is a different kind of church, okay? This is the church I want to go to. So, okay, so this is really cool. So, and then now you're actually making an income off of all this. So you post on FetLife, which I think you were explaining earlier, is similar to like a Twitter or like a Reddit where it's it's free. So anybody can go and follow you. They don't have to pay, it's not like OnlyFans.
SPEAKER_01There's like a you you can only pay to see videos. So like if they pay a membership, they can see videos. But that's like I think the only thing that like they can't see if it's the free account.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Yeah. So kind of like how Instagram has like the Instagram has something like that too. Oh, okay, yeah. Where you can be like a super subsc uh I think it's just called a subscriber on Instagram, and they'll see like different videos that you don't post publicly, kind of.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Okay. So I would equate FetLife to a kinky MySpace, the setup. Okay, if you remember why it was. Yes, I loved MySpace. Yeah. Oh yeah. But yeah, MySpace, how it was laid out, like the profile, that's kind of how FetLife is laid out. Okay. But there's like a feed. Can you design it yourself? No, I don't think so. You can make your own profile.
SPEAKER_00But you're not like changing the background to like be glittery or like the music. Yes.
SPEAKER_02You don't have like a top friends list, like top submissive guy list. That would be dope.
SPEAKER_01Like you rank them. But I have like owned by, or like you can switch up, so you can have relationships and they can be from like a dog of a master of, mistress of, you know, like slavery. Yeah. Okay. So I have a couple of like one, I have a twin twin flame on there, someone who's very similar to me. And then I own a guy. Okay. And then I'm a sister of certain women on there.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow. So it's like a really cool community. Yeah, it's a really cool community. I love this. I love this. And I feel like it's cool for people that are very creative, like, because I don't know, sometimes sex does get a little like, okay, let's spice it up, you know? And I feel like this would be a really good way to spice it up that's super consensual and fun, and like more like a fantasy land type thing. So I love that. Um, so what would you recommend if you were wanting to help somebody get started in Fet Life?
SPEAKER_01Um Fet Life, just be yourself, like post stuff that you're actually interested in. Like I got into this because I wasn't it wasn't like it was actually like I wanted to be in this way. And so just being like genuine on there. Okay. Because the people, it's it is like a community. I think X is a little different. X feels very very different.
SPEAKER_02I feel like a lot of it's like a lot of mainstream industry people, it's more promotion.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like not necessarily like genuine trying to connect with the fans, kind of thing. It's more trying to get money from the fans or like find other people to work with, kind of thing. Yeah. So this is more like community, like in actually connecting with the fans. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So, like for instance, connecting with the fans. I sold a pair of panties, which we're gonna do right there. We're auctioning them off, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so like we're both gonna take turns wearing them. Yes, and then auction.
SPEAKER_01Like maybe playing in them. Getting them soaking on brands. I love it, I love it. So we um I sent a dirty pair of underwear because I played in them. I sent them to a friend who sent them to another person, and we all did the same thing in them, and then we auctioned them off, and we auctioned them live. So we on Fat Life? On Fat Life. So you can go live on Fet Life. No, so this is how we did a I did a status of like auction is now, like post however in the comments. So people would be like a hundred, two hundred, three hundred. It was really cool. And then the person who had them last was in Canada at the time, and she was on, can I say she was live on chatterbait. Yes, so she was showing them off live on chatterbait while we were like, okay, it's at, and I'm calling her and I'm like, it's at dude, this is so awesome! Like, I love it. We got$1,400. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's the most expensive panties on the market, people, and it was so worth it, okay.
SPEAKER_01She sent me panties again. My friend that I sent them to originally, she sent me to Paris, and this time we're doing it again, but we're donating 50% of the proceeds to help victims in domestic violence situations. Oh my god, I love that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's so awesome. And so that kind of leads to my next question. Like, um, obviously, a lot of us in the industry have some sort of mental health, or like we've been through some sort of like trauma, like a lot of them, a lot of people have been through domestic violence, like a lot of you know, a lot of stories out there. So, kind of for you, how do you deal with your mental health and being this in this industry? Do you take breaks? Like, do you how do you kind of manage everything?
SPEAKER_01Um, so I've been in this industry, I guess, like two years. So it's kind of still new to me. Um, I do see a therapist. I think everyone should see a therapist. I see him weekly, and I have seen him weekly for the last six years. Love that. Yeah. So I'm very much an advocate for mental health and like seeing therapists and taking care of yourself, so like I make sure I get enough sleep. I I went to the gym this morning with a trainer. I finally started back. I had some surgery recently, so I was like taking a break. Yes. But yeah, those things and making sure that you're still like functional with friends and functional at work, if you you know, if you have an outside job.
SPEAKER_02So And are you doing this full-time yet, or are you are you gonna do it full-time, or what what are you kind of thinking of that? That's what I want to do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I want to work for myself full time, yes. So um right now I'm not working full-time for myself, but eventually that will change. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_02Definitely will, for sure. I know I can just know when somebody's gonna make it.
SPEAKER_00I can tell. Um okay, cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and it's it is one of those things, it it does take time. Like, oh my gosh, like I I was I started as a stripper, yeah. And it, I mean, it took a while. Yeah, okay. Yeah, it took a while to get out of like that and go full-time into this. So but with with like I feel like with surrounding yourself with the right people and kind of learning from the right people, it it will happen a lot quicker than you think. That's great. Yeah, and two years is great because I feel like now you have a good foundation, you know what you like and don't like, and you know what you want to like show to the world and stuff like that. Yeah. Um, okay, and then last question, I always ask people this what is your definition of success?
SPEAKER_01Okay, my definition of a success is to never be in survival mode survivor mode. Okay. Like I never never want to be there again. No. Yeah. To be taking care of my mental health and my responsibilities very adequately or even higher standards and um just to feel good. And then obviously, money, money, I don't ever want to worry about it. So, like, if I'm at a point where I'm um taking care of myself and everything, and I don't have to worry about my future, that's successful to me. I love that. And being able to help others along the way is very successful to me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I heard a quote that's like make a lot of money and do a lot of good with that money. Yeah. And I'm like, that's badass. Yeah. That's that's what I want to do. Yeah. And I would say you are successful as fuck. I am like so happy to have you in my presence. I'm so glad that we're gonna be connecting. I'm so happy that you live near me. I'm like, yeah, it's like I love when I meet you. Yes, for real. We're both we're both on the lesbian scale, which is amazing. We're bros, we're bros. Um I was a welder. That's badass. Okay, so so um you went from being a welder to this, or like, yeah, basically. Damn.
SPEAKER_01I went from being a welder to being an NDT tech. Okay. Like non-destructive testing. Okay. And in the plants and stuff, so I was still bro. Yes, yes, to this.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that's badass. I always get along really well with like trades, is what they call it in Australian.
SPEAKER_00I watch a lot of Love Island.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, blue collar. Yes. I'm a blue-collar lady. And I feel like that does really well with sex work because like our base is men. Yeah. So like if you can relate to a man, then you're gonna get his money. Too much, maybe.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna get their money. Grab the coins, ladies.
SPEAKER_02Um, last question. I know I said this already, but I was so curious in your story. Um, do you have like a lot of women fans?
SPEAKER_01Actually, I do. Yeah, I think it's because I'm a bro too, like I am kind of a lesbian. Yeah. That there's some women that are very attracted to like that energy. And I like I love women on Fet Life, especially because I feel like there's so much support that's on there for other women. Yes.
SPEAKER_02So, like, no slut shaming, nothing like that, like what we were when we were growing up, you know. It's like it I feel like being in the adult industry, you actually like get respect for being the person that you are, you know. Like we're in civilian world, if you like sex, like it's shame, shame, shame, shame. I'm like, it's really not shameful.
SPEAKER_01Like, yeah, I have no shame in nothing I do. I licked someone's dirty panties the other day. Yes.
SPEAKER_02I was like, Yo. And you know, like mine later, so you guys stay tuned. Yes.
